A Full Day Cooking Class in Khon Kaen, Thailand

If you visit Thailand without trying a cooking class, did you really visit? There is no better way to learn a country’s culture than through its food. Thai dishes have exploding flavors, which is why a cooking lesson while in Thailand is a must! This private cooking class I did with Darling Thai Cooking School exceeded my expectations. It was a 8-hour day, hands-on cooking experience using artisanal methods and selecting fresh ingredients from Darling’s spacious green garden. Read on to find out what the cooking experience was like.   CLASS DETAILS The class is located in Khon Kaen — a small city in the Northeastern region of Thailand —…

Things To See In Chiang Rai

Visiting Chiang Mai without visiting its sister city, Chiang Rai, is like going to Los Angeles without seeing the famous Beverly Hills. A small city like Chiang Rai, located in the northern Thailand, would make one think there isn’t much to see but there is. This tour gives tourists a glimpse of all what Chiang Rai has to offer. Note: This post was sponsored by TripGuru but all opinions expressed are mine.   CHIANG RAI ONE DAY TOUR TripGuru’s tour guide (driver) arrived promptly in an air-conditioned van to pick me up and an additional guest nearby in Chiang Mai. Enjoy the lush greenery as you head north towards Chiang…

    Garden Route National Park: Tsitsikamma

Tsitsikamma is located in one of the most stunning parts of South Africa called the Garden Route. A mountainous region where rivers have carved their path to the Indian Ocean and home to fynbos vegetation. A place I can call a favorite because it left me awestruck just like many parts of South Africa.   GETTING THERE By car The best and most flexible option is to drive. I originally started my journey to Garden Route from Cape Town and Tsitsikamma was my last stop before returning back. There is a toll booth to enter this side of the Garden Route. The toll is R50 ($3). If you’re driving a…

Best Things To See In Yellowstone National Park

At Yellowstone National Park, you’ll see a lot of wildlife, hot springs, geysers, waterfalls, and wonderful scenery. It has the world’s highest concentration of hydrothermal features. It’s also huge so bare that in mind as you plan your trip to Yellowstone. The park crosses over into Montana and Idaho and can take a few hours to drive from one end to another. Spending two full days is how long I spent but know that is not enough to truly admire its beauty and what it has to offer. One cool fact is before Yellowstone became a national park, it was once where Native Americans used to live seasonally. It was…

    Hikes in Zion National Park

The red cliffs of Zion National Park is majestic! It’s my favorite place in all of Utah. I went here twice and I was just as amazed by its beauty the first time. It’s 2 to 3 hours drive from Las Vegas. A park great for canyoneering (also known as canyoning), which is navigating a canyon by hiking, swimming, abseiling, cliff jumping, and/or climbing. My first experience of this was a guided experience at Blue Mountains in Australia.   GETTING THERE If you need to fly, the nearest major airport to Zion is McCarran International Airport (LAS) in Las Vegas. Other nearby major airports are in Salt Lake City (SLC)…
