Monte Baldo in Northern Italy is a spectacular place for hiking. It’s 23 mi (37 km) long and 7 mi (11 km) wide. Located in a town called Malcesine around Lake Garda.   GETTING THERE If you don’t have access to a car, you can reach Malcesine by bus or ferry depending on where you are coming from. A bus ticket from Peschiera del Garda to Malcesine was 10 euros ($11.50 USD). The ride time was 1.5 hours. For ferry information, click here. For bus routes, click here. Fun Things To Do In Antigua

Have you heard of Antigua and Barbuda? Not Antigua in Guatemala. When I told people I was visiting Antigua, 99% of them have never heard of the country. It’s 324 miles from Puerto Rico. East of US Virgin Islands and North of Barbados. Here it is on the map:   If you are wanting to avoid the resort route, I’d advise you don’t. The resorts offer a lot of things to do and you don’t have to worry about transportation or food, like I did. It was my first time in Canada and so glad I picked Alberta to visit. Best times to see the turquoise-colored lakes in Banff is between June and August. The entire national park has 41 hikes that can be done in a day. If you go to Banff…

Mozambique Tourist Visa For US Citizens

Did you know I almost skipped Mozambique because a tourist visa is required for US Citizens? But after seeing photos of how stunning their beaches are, I couldn’t back out. I searched on google for answers and found that it is possible to obtain visa upon arrival but the consensus was “U.S. citizens have been denied entry for not having obtained a visa in advance.” I didn’t want to be that person. Below is my experience from October 2017. The process of obtaining a visa at the Mozambique consulate in Joburg (95 Oxford Rd, Randburg, 2132) took me 3 hours of deliberating what I should do since I was unprepared. Issue…

Why Southern Africa Is Worth Visiting

There is nowhere like Africa. It is a continent (NOT a country) that encompasses a wide variety of cultures, ecosystems, languages, and religions. Although Africa continues to be exploited by foreign interests, it has the potential to be great. #WakandaForever Countries visited: South Africa, Mozambique, Swaziland, Lesotho* Total time spent: 5 weeks *Lesotho is only mentioned once in this post because I was there for 3 hours  This trip was not my first time on the continent. Nigeria is the only African nation I am familiar with. Lived there for 2.5 years at age 7 and was last there in 2015. I quickly realized that Nigeria isn’t like South Africa.…
